Modeling Expertise
E-PUR provides solutions on surface-water availability and surface-water quality. We understand the relationships between rainfall and runoff and the interaction between surface water and groundwater. E-PUR uses river models of various kinds as key tools. We build and test our models to provide useful information regarding groundwater and surface water interaction and streamflows. We are experts in surface water delivery systems and decision-support system models such as Riverware utilized by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and others. We are experts in dynamic surface water models such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ HEC series of models.
Evaluating the relationship between surface water, stormwater runoff, and groundwater is integral to water supply and other needs. E-PUR uses groundwater and streamflow models to evaluate known or potential impacts on water availability in perennial streams and groundwater basins.
