John Lambie, PE, CEG, CWRE

Principal Groundwater Hydrologist

Mr. Lambie is a licensed civil engineer in California, Oregon, and Washington states, a Professional Geologist and Engineering Geologist in California, and a Certified Water Rights Examiner in Oregon. He has evaluated and modeled groundwater at the basin scale and site scale for a wide variety of water resource projects. The projects have ranged from municipal and industrial supply planning and evaluation, to water supply for habitat areas. He has applied a variety of innovative approaches for water treatment, numerical modeling, and hydraulic testing. Mr. Lambie has also worked on characterization and remediation of hazardous chemicals in soil and water under the federal Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, CERLCA, RCRA, NEPA, and correlative state laws. He has provided litigation support services and expert witness testimony on water rights, stormwater flooding, and environmental liability litigation.

Nathan Jacobsen, PE

Associate Water Resources Engineer

Mr. Jacobsen is a licensed civil engineer in California and Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control. Mr. Jacobsen provides a broad technical and regulatory knowledge and has been the lead engineering designer on a number of stream restoration, drainage design, and water quality Best Management Practice (BMP) design projects (retrofit and new construction) under the Clean Water Act. Mr. Jacobsen’s water resource engineering experience includes industrial, private, and public projects that required site specific and regulatory specific BMP selection, design, implementation, and operation and maintenance plans. His experience extends into stream-course design and permitting, water-quality modeling, landfill drainage design, and water-quality monitoring, sample-plan design, and data collection.

Demetrius Flewellen, MS

Staff Hydrogeologist

Mr. Flewellen holds a Masters of Science in Geology with emphasis in hydrogeology. He conducted his thesis on the effect of viscosity and grain size on the residual saturation of light, non-aqueous phase liquids. In addition to his degree in geology, Mr. Flewellen also holds a MS in Operations Management. Mr. Flewellen comes to E-PUR by way of the United States Navy from which he retired at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. During his service with the Navy, he was honored with the following awards: the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. He currently serves in a volunteer capacity as a Public Works Commissioner for the city of Marina, CA.
